On Sunday NEW DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED SHORTLY The Alternative View will be revisiting the subject of Smart Cities and the Surveillance Agenda. Our four speakers from the original Smart Cities live stream return to give an update of their research and discoveries since their first presentations back in April 2023.
We will further investigate what Smart Cities are, what Smart means and what the cities will offer or maybe deny to the people who live in them. Will they be an eco-friendly utopia where you will own nothing, have lots of leisure time, be happy and undoubtedly be tracked for every second of your life in them? Eco-friendly but not human friendly it would seem. With the prospect of Smart everything including us, digital currencies that can control and monitor your spending and saving the future is beginning to resemble a dystopian Orwellian reality.
Join us and let's see if our informed presenters can offer an updated educated opinion of what the future we are helping manifest may look like, what is the goal of this rapidly unfolding plan and where the agenda of tracking and control may ultimately be heading.

Pippa King is a parent whose children were nearly fingerprinted in 2005 when they were 6 and 7 years old for a school library system. After asking the Head Teacher when the school was going to obtain consent from parents she was told that the school did not need to ask her permission to take her children's fingerprints. She campaigned from 2005 along with other parents, and privacy/civil liberties organisations, for schools to gain, in writing, parental (and student) consent when they wished to process a child's biometric data, with alternative provision provided for those who did not want their biometrics used in school.

As CBDCs and Digital IDs are just around the corner from replacing cash, we have seen the unleashing of a 5G AI managed surveillance net of facial recognition cameras covering our towns and cities harvesting our data and building our profiles on the false pretence that it is all being done to save us from our carbon footprint. We are sliding into a digital concentration camp with the internet of eyes keeping us in check while a deadly digital payload introduced by stealth covid vaccines reduces the population en masse.
What can we do to fight back? And how can we protect ourselves?

Mark Anderson will explain the governance behind the seemingly innocuous “Global Cities” movement and examine its design to reorient participating cities away from their national identity and toward the establishment of a worldwide cities network that will function like a world parliament and be sold as the wave of the future—in tandem with the installment of the “internet of things” and other digital infrastructure to enhance such global cities, upgrading them into “smart cities” that can seamlessly track your whereabouts, activities and financial transactions.

Imagine a scenario where humans are confined within a certain area or city due to external factors such as unusual sky and atmospheric phenomena at the same time as a change in the global monetary system and breakdowns in supply chains leading to food shortages. In such a situation, individuals may find themselves confined to a limited space or set of circumstances with restricted access to resources and freedoms.
